Solid copper head gaskets are recommended for pro-level racing engines with o-rings in the block or head for combustion sealing. Every SCE Copper head gasket is heat treated  (others don’t do this) to insure that the gasket conforms to the o-ring for a tight combustion seal. The difference will be reflected in your leak down percentage.
If used on liquid cooled engines additional sealant is required. Don’t want to hassle with sealant or take a chance on leaks? Use our Titan copper head gaskets with patented coolant seals built in!
